About Us

offering hope for orphaned and abandoned children

Seeway Trust started in 1997 as a result of one man’s vision to make a difference in the lives of abandoned children. It has been quite amazing to look back and see what has been achieved in this time together, being able to tangibly see the difference in the lives of rescued children and being able to share with those who have supported this work. Those who have worked with us have seen how the ‘family’ of Seeway Trust has grown.

Currently we provide regular financial support for approximately 100 children throughout our various projects. All the projects that we are involved in continue to flourish and grow thanks to the wonderful support and regular commitment of those who invest in the work, whether prayerfully, practically or financially.

Seeway Trust hope for the future

At Seeway Trust we aim to provide shelter, nourishment and education to orphaned and abandoned children in a home environment where they are part of a caring family. We do this by developing strong links with people on the ground working with them to provide for this type of need. We empower local teams to establish orphanages, build and equip medical and education facilities.

Where necessary, non government organisations (NGOs) are set up, comprising a voluntary board of directors made up of key members of the local community who work with those who oversee the day to day operations. They also ensure funds are used for their designated purpose and we at Seeway Trust in the UK receive regular reports of the progress being made. The support offered is available to orphaned or abandoned children regardless of race, gender, disability or religion.

How we do it

We work with local NGOs to find or build a suitable orphanage and raise funds to cover the costs. Other times we will help to provide a school, a classroom, start a farm to provide food, fund a nurse, set up medical facilities, or even dig a bore hole to provide fresh water. The possibilities are limitless – essentially we aim to increase independence and decrease dependence.

Who we are

We are a team of three trustees who voluntarily give of our time and resources in the day to day management of the work of Seeway Trust. Alongside us are other volunteers committed to the vision of Seeway to whom we can call on to assist.
